DECATUR, Ill. - Lewis University carded a season-low 336 Monday and finished fifth among 10 teams at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship. Lyndsey Krieger led the Flyers by placing 14th among 49 golfers. Krieger, who fired a collegiate career-best 5-over-par 77 in Sunday's first round, shot 83 Monday to finish at 160. Vanessa Nomura registered a season-best 83 Monday and finished 22nd (88-83=171). Chantelle Mika (90-82=172) tied for 23rd, Michelle Dudek (86-88=174) tied for 26th and A.J. Lagerhausen (95-100=195) tied for 44th. The Flyers, who shot 341 Sunday, finished at 677. Conference champion Northern Kentucky defeated Southern Indiana in a playoff after both teams finished at 613, with Southern Illinois Edwardsville (636) finishing third and Indianapolis (648) placing fourth. Quincy (715), Bellarmine (719), Saint Joseph's (723), Missouri-St. Louis (727) and Kentucky Wesleyan (745) rounded out the standings. |
