MONMOUTH - The Lewis University women's golf team finished eighth among 21 teams Saturday at the Monmouth College Fighting Scots Invitational. Lewis registered a 359 team score at the par-75 Gibson Woods Golf Club and was just four shots away from fourth place. Illinois College (333) was the team champion, followed by Illinois Wesleyan (334), Wisconsin-Eau Claire (335), Robert Morris (355), Wheaton (355), Wisconsin-Whitewater (355) and Carthage (357). Lyndsey Krieger and Chantelle Mika enjoyed strong outings, leading the Flyers and tying for 13th place overall with rounds of 85. Michelle Dudek placed 34th in the 134-player field with a 91, with A.J. Lagerhausen (98) tying for 65th, Vanessa Nomura (100) tying for 76th and Nicole Mason (104) finishing 99th. |
