WEST CHICAGO - The Lewis University men's golf team placed 11th among 13 teams at DePaul University's John Dallio Memorial, played Monday and Tuesday at Prairie Landing Golf Club. Lewis, the only NCAA Division II team in the field, posted team scores of 293-300-339 for a 932 total and defeated Loyola Chicago and Wright State. Southern Illinois (879) was the champion. Lloyd Roth led the Flyers, tying for 37th place among 75 golfers. Roth fired consecutive rounds of 73 before carding an 84 in Tuesday's wind-blown final round to finish at 230. Curt Trizzino (75-75-82=232) tied for 45th, Peter Schrum (78-75-84=237) tied for 60th, Dean Katsaros (73-77-91=241) tied for 65th and Jason Buffone (72-81-89=242) tied for 67th. |
