April 4, 2005 O'FALLON, Mo. - Jason Buffone continued his outstanding play for the Lewis University men's golf team by tying for first place among 61 golfers at the University of Missouri-St. Louis Rivermen Invitational. Buffone shot even-par 72 in both rounds for a 144 total at the 6,515-yard Winghaven Country Club. It was the third victory of the season for the Flyer senior. Lewis placed sixth among 11 teams with a two-round total of 608 (304-304). Joining Buffone were Lloyd Roth, tied for 16th (74-76=150); Curt Trizzino, tied for 44th (82-77=159); Dean Katsaros, tied for 46th (82-79=161); and Rob Peters, tied for 49th (76-87=163. |
