March 27, 2004 RICHMOND, Ky. - The Lewis University men's golf team finished 11th among 14 teams at the Eastern Kentucky University Spring Invitational March 26-27. Jason Buffone tied for 27th to lead the Flyers. Buffone fired a 2-under-par 70 in the final round and finished at 225 (78-77-70). Also competing for Lewis were Lloyd Roth, tied for 42nd (78-75-75=228); Tres Steffey, tied for 54th (79-80-73=232); Rob Peters, tied for 67th (78-78-80=236); and Ryan Hewson, 82nd (82-79-83=244). The Flyers shot rounds of 313, 309 and 298 for a three-round total of 920. Eastern Kentucky (854) won the tournament, which included 11 NCAA Division I teams.
